The first in a two-volume publication showcasing projects completed by the office within the past 40 years since the establishment of the office in 1971. The first volume includes projects ranging from Ito’s debut work, the “Aluminum House” to his masterpiece “Sendai Mediatheque”, which opened in 2001. The processes and accompanying stories of each project are introduced in the interviews with staff members and Toyo Ito.
